Juice Cleanse Recipes

Juices

Even though I didn’t last for the full juice cleanse, I discovered some incredibly tasty juice recipes! Here were my favorites:

Carrot Apple Ginger Juice (top right in the picture above)

  • 3 carrots
  • 2 apples
  • 1 small piece of ginger (~1cm chunk)

Juice all ingredients, pour over ice and enjoy!

*This was the first ever juice I made and I loved it!

Purple Power Juice (top middle in the picture above)

  • 6 cups of red grapes (I put about 3 cups in – 6 cups seemed way too much!)
  • 1 golden delicious apple
  • 1 small piece of ginger (~1cm chunk)
  • 1/2 cup blackberries OR 1/2 cup cherries, pitted

Juice the above ingredients, pour over ice and enjoy!

*This juice was love at first sip. No other grape juice will ever compare to this unique, zingy party in a glass!

The Ultimate Veggie Breakfast Shake  (top right in the picture above)

  • 1 avocado
  • 2 golden delicious apples
  • 1 large handful of spinach
  • 3cm chunk of zucchini
  • 1 (peeled) lime
  • 2 carrots
  • 1/4 medium cucumber
  • 3cm chunk of broccoli stem
  • 1 stalk of celery
  • 1/2 green bell pepper

Place one apple in the chute of the juicer and then pack the spinach in tight behind it. Add the broccoli, lime, cucumber, pepper, zucchini, celery and carrots. Finish the juice with the other apple. Place the juice into a blender with the avocado and some ice if you desire. Blend until smooth.

*Can you imagine all of that for breakfast?? Crazy right! This shake is overflowing with essential fats, protein, vitamins, minerals and enzymes, and it was surprisingly super delicious and very filling. It became my go-to breakfast for the majority of the week! (It looks speckly because I blended in some ground chia seeds for some extra fibre and omega-3 fats).

Mean Green Juice (bottom left in the picture above)

  • 1/2 a medium cucumber
  • 3 celery stalks
  • 2 apples
  • 6-8 leaves of kale (I used a big handful of spinach instead)
  • 1/2 lemon (peeled)
  • 1 small piece of ginger (~1cm chunk)

Juice all ingredients, pour into glass and enjoy!

*I’m sure this recipe scares a lot of people because it’s “green.” I admit, I was skeptical too, but it didn’t taste AT ALL like vegetables. Loved it!

This recipe is also a Joe Cross (from Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead) special!

Strawberry Kiwi Juice (bottom middle in the picture above)

  • 2 cups of hulled strawberries
  • 4 whole kiwis

Juice above ingredients, pour into a glass and enjoy!

*I actually made this juice with no recipe. I love the combination of strawberry-kiwi and I was curious as to how its fresh juice would taste. It was just as delicious as I had hoped!

Sweet Potato Juice (bottom right in the picture above)

  • 1 sweet potato
  • 1 ripe Bartlett pear
  • Approx. 1/4-1/2 cup of your choice of milk
  • Dash of cinnamon

Juice the potato and pear. Whisk in the milk and cinnamon, pour into a glass and enjoy!

*This became another favorite of mine for breakfast. (P.S. It was DIVINE with coconut milk!)
