Deep down inside we all know that fruits and vegetables are better than cookies and chips for a snack, but how much better are they really? Let’s compare a snack of Oreos with a snack of fresh fruit to see.
For the SAME number of calories, you get increased fibre (important for digestion) and virtually NO fat if you choose the fruit, compared to a snack of ALL fat (and bad fat at that!) if you choose the Oreos.
Maybe you should reconsider reaching for those chips or cookies next time you want a snack?
